Supporting the library

Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library support library programs. Members oversee a used book sale and additional special sales throughout the year. The program has also provided:

  • Funding for children’s story times
  • Funding for the summer reading program

To become a Friend of the Library, volunteer or give an honor book, please contact library staff members at (512) 446-3410.

Any interested adult or high school student may apply to volunteer by completing the Volunteer Form.

Honor Books
A book in the library can be a beautiful and lasting gift. Celebrate a birthday with a birthday book, give special recognition to someone with an honor book or give someone a memorial book.

Donations of books in fair to new condition are accepted during hours of operation. Many books in the collection have been donated to the library and we are grateful for the community support. Monetary donations are also appreciated. Occasionally there will be a special fundraiser to help the library with expand its services and programs.
