CDBG-MIT Application to GLO

City Council has authorized submission of a Community Development Block Grant - Mitigation Project application to the General Land Office. The proposed drainage improvements would significantly impact areas prone to flooding and drainage issues.

The City of Rockdale has been invited by the General Land Office to apply for funding for a drainage project. The project was initially applied for 2 years ago to TDEM under FEMA's grant program, but the program ran out of funds. Read on for more info.

Roadway Rehabilitation on FM 908 and FM 487

TxDOT will begin road rehab work on FM 908 and FM 487 from US 79 to Bell Ave. Work includes milling and overlay as well as pavement rehab (remove base, treat subgrade, and replace hot mix & base). Some cross culverts and curb & gutters may be replaced.
